CheChe's Obituary
In Memory Of Cheryl Lynn “CheChe” Vachino, age 75, of Bridgeville, formerly of Beechview, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2024. A more beautiful, wonderful, compassionate person you will ever meet!
Cheryl was the beloved daughter of the late Edgar and late Shirley Vachino; Devoted sister of Gayle (Dan) D’Alessandro, Ed (Susan) Vachino, Tony (Brenda) Vachino and the late Valerie (the late Ron) Geiger; Loving Aunt of Adam (Alyssa) D’Alessandro, Jonathan (Amber) D’Alessandro, Christine (Tom) Tabor, Elise (Greg) Chrzastek, Stephanie (Ricky) Bailey, Alyssa Vachino, Samantha Vachino, the late Lisa and the late Lauren Geiger; Cherished Great Aunt of Trent, Trevor and Tori D’Alessandro, Nash D’Alessandro, Henry and Evelyn Tabor, Cameron Chrzastek, and Judah Bailey; Treasured cousin of Melody (Jim)Ballard and Bart (Margie) Christner.
Cheryl graduated from California State College and was a member of the Phi Alpha PSI sorority. She taught at the elementary school in New Bethlehem, PA. Cheryl went on to be a dedicated employee of the South Hills Health System, working in the Outpatient Registration Department. She began when it was known as St Joseph Hospital in the South Side and now Jefferson Hospital, retiring in 2014.
Cheryl loved being with her nieces and nephews, hot air balloons, reading books, and traveling. She was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh Sports Teams and followed them closely in the media and the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. She spent the day reading it from cover to cover.

Final arrangements and internment are entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery.
