Charmaine Miklancie's Obituary
Charmaine Miklancie (Graham), age 66 of Pittsburgh, passed away on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 after a long and private struggle with heart problems, breathing difficulties and lung cancer. Charmaine elected to forgo additional treatment and passed away peacefully, surrounded by her closest family members.
Charmaine was a tough and stoic woman with a sensitive heart, who overcame a difficult upbringing through hard work and devotion to her family. Charmaine enjoyed reading, cooking and vacationing in Florida and was skilled in sewing, crocheting and making crafts. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she demanded that they do well in school to ensure that they had opportunities in life that she did not have. She loved spending time with them and watching them play hockey. She was never shy about telling them to work harder and to not make risky plays with the puck.
Charmaine is survived by her doting husband of 47 years, William “Wilson” Miklancie, their daughter, Christa Miklancie, wife of Anthony Forcucci, their son Brian Miklancie, husband of Jazz Miklancie (Hall) and her beloved sister and best friend Renee Nelson (Clokey), wife of Ralph Nelson. Charmaine leaves behind four grandchildren: Aiden Forcucci and Radek, Markus and Karina Miklancie, a loving niece, Marissa Nelson and siblings: Georgette Howard (Clokey), June Dougherty (Clokey), George Schmigel (deceased), Raquel Clokey (deceased), Edward Schmigel and Kelly O’Toole (Schmigel).
William and Renee were tirelessly devoted to Charmaine during her struggle with cancer and she is eternally grateful for their patience and love. Charmaine chose to be cremated and would be proud to know that her urn was on clearance. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM with funeral service occurring on Tuesday, December 20th at 12 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home at 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh 15236.
