Charles "Chuck" Young's Obituary
Charles "Chuck" Young, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He celebrated his 90th birthday this past July, a milestone that reflected a life richly lived and deeply cherished.
Chuck was the devoted husband of Jean Young, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage-a partnership built on love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Together they created a family that was the center of Chuck's world.
He was a Loving father to Keith Young (Cheri), Greg Young (Janna), and Kellie Beach (Rich). Chuck was a proud grandfather to Taylor Young (deceased); Ericia Abbott (Ryan), mother to Mason and Beau; Paige Young; Anthony and Courtney Chiurazzi; Evan Beach (Krysta), who are expecting a child in July; Jared Beach; and Lindsay Beach. He was also a cherished great-grandfather, a role he wore with joy and pride.
Chuck never missed a chance to show up for his family. Whether it was a sporting event, milestone celebration, or everyday moment, he was always in the stands. His presence was constant, supportive, and full of love.
A graduate of South Hills High School, Chuck dedicated 35 years of service to the Bethel Park Post Office, retiring as the Postmaster-a role he fulfilled with integrity, pride, and dedication to his community. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Chuck enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved playing softball and golf, traveling, and gathering with friends for a good game of poker. A devoted Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan, he rarely missed a game and shared his love of sports with everyone around him. Always ready for the next adventure, Chuck approached life with curiosity, humor, and an open heart.
Above all else, Chuck will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and deep love for his family. His legacy Lives on in the generations he adored and the countless memories he helped create.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Family and friends are welcome to join for visitation on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 2-7pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home 301 Curry Hollow Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10am on Wednesday, January 14th.
