Charles R. LoPresti's Obituary
Charles R. LoPresti, age 62, after a long courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.
Charles was born on May 4, 1957 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is the son of the late Carmen R. and Betty Rae LoPresti, and brother of Joe.
Charles graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and then attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh for both his undergraduate and law degrees. After graduating from law school, Charles worked for the District Attorney's Office of Allegheny County before starting his own law practice which has been in business for over 30 years with offices in Jefferson Hills and Pleasant Hills. Charles was also involved in many community activities, including DARE, Crossing Guard Seminars, St. Thomas A'Becket Church Festivals and events, and donating to many charities. It was important to him to make a difference where he could. As an engaging orator, he was invited to speak at many events such as the Cyril H. Wecht Institute of Forensic Science and Law Seminars. He captured an audience with his wisdom and eloquence.
Charles was a religious man and cared about everyone. He loved warm weather, hated the cold and loved going to baseball games with his family. He has touched the loves of many, just like his mother and father did before him. His positive impact on so many people, made a profound difference for them. Without Charles, a lot of people's lives would have been different. Charles is an inspiration to us all to live every day to the fullest with the utmost level of love, happiness and joy.
Charles is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathy, and his sons, Jim, Chuck (Shannon) and Carmen and his furry kids, Becket, Vito and Misty too. Besides his brother, he is also survived by brother-in-laws Kevin (Carla) Kotula, Mike (Jan) Kotula and Frank (Mary Sue) Kotula and his loving cousins and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, who will miss his dearly.
Private funeral mass to be held at St. Thomas A' Becket Catholic Church. A memorial tribute may be held at a later date. Condolences may be shared at www.gatheringus.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
