Charles Edwin Clinton, Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Edwin Clinton, Jr. age 95, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Rahway, New Jersey, died peacefully at home on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
Charles is survived by his beloved children Charles A. Clinton and Cyndi (Reverend Allyn Itterly) Clinton. Loved Pap of Alyssa (Sebastian) Isabella, Aubrey (Zachary Zimmer) Giuffre, and Bethany Giuffre. Great Pap of Avery and Zoey Zimmer and Enzo Isabella. Charles is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 64 years, Amelia Sue Clinton; his parents, Charles E. and Mildred Clinton; and siblings; Margaret Mae Davenport and Bertram John Clinton.
Charles was a proud Veteran serving in the United States Army during World War II. He graduated from Carnegie Tech where he was a brother of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Retiring as a Metallurgist from Bettis. Charles was a Pittsburgh Pirates Fan, he loved to travel and fish. Charles was a man of faith who served North Zion Lutheran Church as a Sunday School Teacher and Council Member.
Family and friends are welcomed on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 3 to 7 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home's chapel.
