Charlene Ann Caracciolo's Obituary
Charlene Ann Caracciolo, age 54, of South Park, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 25, 2021.
Charlene is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Paul Caracciolo. Cherished mother of Erica (Logan) Miko and Megan (Logan Afton) Caracciolo. Loving sister of Kathleen (Joseph) Planavsky, Colleen (Bob) Squires, Eileen (Scott) Krebs and sister in-law, Christine (Don) Butler. Charlene is also survived by many nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Eileen Damratowski.
Charlene worked as a Cardiovascular Physician Assistant for 12 years before she decided to stay home to raise her two daughters. Charlene was a loving wife and mother who loved to cook meals for her family, relax outside on her rocking chair, and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, her “Buccos”. She was a strong, devoted Christian woman, who put her faith in God above all else. She enjoyed family vacations at Hilton Head Island and was always the last to leave the beach every day. During her last years, Paul took Charlene on her bucket list trips of seeing the blue waters of Aruba and the Grand Canyon, which filled her with complete joy. She accepted the diagnosis of ALS and fought each day to not let it define her. It may have taken her strength, but she did not let it take her spirit or sense of humor.
Family and friends are welcomed on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm & 6 to 8 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 1 pm at St. Catherine Laboure Parish, St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church, 320 McMurray Road, Pittsburgh 15241.
