Cecilia "Sally" Marie Enscoe's Obituary
Cecilia "Sally" Marie Enscoe, 90, of Grove City, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on July 5, 1936, in Pittsburgh to Paul and Cecilia Haid Kestner, Sally lived a life centered on family and love. She married the love of her life, Harry Enscoe, on September 3, 1955, and together they built a beautiful life, raising their family in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Their home was filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Harry preceded Cecilia in death, but the love they shared remained an enduring example for their family.
Cecilia dedicated many years of her career to KDKA, where she found not only meaningful work but lifelong friendships. She often spoke fondly of her KDKA family and treasured the relationships she built throughout her career. Sally was happiest with a good book in her hands. She never missed an opportunity to cheer on her beloved Pittsburgh sports teams, bake delicious treats for the neighborhood, and look forward to conversations with her dear friend, Brenda Barrow of Australia. Though separated by thousands of miles, their friendship remained one of the great blessings of her life.
Above all, Sally was devoted to her family. She was a loving mother to Gary (Jeannette) Enscoe of Lakeville, Minnesota; Scott (Vickie) Enscoe of Greenville, South Carolina; and Kenneth (Debra) Enscoe of Grove City, Pennsylvania. Her greatest joy was being "MomMom," "Grandma," and "Great-Grandma." She adored each of her grandchildren: Maura (Geoff) Hartway, Gina (Nat) Wayman, Melissa (Rush) Wagner, Paul (Karina) Theiss, Mallory (Doug) Schaaf, Shane (Angie) Enscoe, and Kyle Enscoe, as well as her numerous great-grandchildren, celebrating their accomplishments, encouraging them through life's challenges, and making every one of them feel deeply loved.
Sally will be remembered for her loving heart, spirited personality, and the countless ways she made those around her feel cared for. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel loved, offering honest advice, and reminding those closest to her just how important they were. Her legacy is one of strength, resilience, devotion, and love.
Aside from Harry, Sally was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Alice Gardner.
A private family burial will be held at Jefferson Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Harry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Best of the Batch Foundation, established by former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch.
