Catherine Cheung's Obituary
Catherine Cheung, age 73, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2020 in her home in Spring, Texas. She was born on June 4, 1947 in Hong Kong, China, right after World War II. Her father was a teacher and she had three sisters and one brother. Catherine married her late husband, Kin, and they moved to the United States in the late 1960s. She received an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Suffolk County Community College in New York. Throughout their lives, Catherine and her family lived in Tennessee, Texas, New York and Pennsylvania. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) for a few years, but mainly dedicated her life as a stay at home mom. She enjoyed family time as well as knitting, writing, reading and watching movies.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Kin Cheung; son, Allen Cheung; and sister, Chan Fu Li. She is survived by her children, James and Peter Cheung; grandchildren, Eric, Edward and Sofia Cheung; siblings, Helena Cheung, Grace Li and Sek Kwan Li; as well as friends and relatives that will miss her dearly.
A funeral service was be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 1712 N Frazier St #115, Conroe, TX 77301. The service was live streamed for those unable to attend. Catherine was laid to rest next to her husband and son in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
