Carole P. Simko's Obituary
It's with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Carole P. Simko who left us on Monday, April 10, 2023 at the age of 71. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend, Carole brought warmth, love, and laughter to the lives of all that had the privlege of knowing her.
Born on June, 5, 1951, Carole grew up in Scottdale, PA, and dedicated her life to making the world a better place for those with hearing loss. As a compassionate and skilled hearing therapist and audiologist, Carole provided hope and healing to countless individuals, helping them to regain their confidence and quality of life.
Carole was a pioneer in her field, inspiring children and students with her passion for helping people overcome their hearing challenges. Her wisdom and insight earned her respect within the industry, leading her to author two books on the subject. Carole's work will continue to touch the lives of those who suffer from hearing loss, as well as the professionals who treat them.
A lover of travel, Carole found joy in discovering the vibrant cultures of Mexico and the Caribbean. Above all, Carole was a devoted mother and grandmother, who cherished every moment spent with her family. Her laughter, wisdom, and love will forever be imprinted in the hearts of those who knew her.
Carole is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, John Simko. Cherished mother of Amanda Simko-DiNaples and her spouse Bo DiNaples and Lauren Simko and her spouse Adam Lush. Adored mimi of Cole and Charlotte DiNaples. Sister of Ed Bugosh and his spouse Elsie, Larry Bugosh and his spouse Dianne, Kenny Bugosh, and Bob Bugosh. Carole is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Helen Bugosh; and her brothers, Paul "Sonny" Bugosh and Ronald Bugosh.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills.
A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10 am in the funeral home's chapel.
