Carol Lee Wagner's Obituary
Carol Lee Wagner, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, just days shy of her 86th birthday. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on May 8, 1939, she lived a life rich with love, accomplishment, and dedication to her family and community.
A devoted housewife and mother, Carol made an indelible impact on the lives of countless children through her work at the Brass Ring Learning Center, where she collaborated alongside her daughter, Joy Troeschel, for more than 20 years.
In her earlier years, Carol and her husband, John W. Wagner, Jr., delighted in attending Navy events, celebrating the unity and pride of service. An avid boater, she cherished the many family outings spent on the water, creating lasting memories that her loved ones will hold dear.
Throughout her children's formative years, Carol was an active participant in the PTA and various school activities. She also loved gardening vegetables and flowers.
Carol's life truly revolved around her family and friends. She was known for her caring and supportive nature, always willing to lend an ear or a helping hand. Fearless in her convictions, she was never hesitant to voice her opinions.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, John W. Wagner, Jr.; her children, Joy (Karl) Troeschel and William T. (Helen) Wagner; grandchildren, Ashley L. (Alex) Ecklund, Sarah A. Wagner, William T. Wagner, Jr., and Spencer J. Troeschel; as well as great-grandchildren, Hayden & Everett Ecklund.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ula Kapphan.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 12th from 6-8 P.M. at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th at 12 P.M. in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
