Wow! Carol was so special. I remember when my dad passed away in 1998, I was on call with her when I got the call at Southside. She gave me a hug that was so comforting at that moment I remember it to this day. Carol was one of a kind. I admired her and respected her like no other, because she didn't take no mess from the surgeons, and always kept them in check, especially Dr Gehl. LOL
With much reverence and respect
Carol was a hard working Orthopedic nurse in the Operating room at South Side Hospital. I was a 20 year old Surgical Tech who watch her not take any guff off of the surgeons as she managed her room. We grew to become friends and I realized that hard exterior had a big caring generous heart. She learned my nephew Kevin was sick and she was always sending him gifts for his hospital stays and birthdays. I am so happy I spoke to you a week ago. You will be missed but you and Joe are again together. Rest in peace my friend.
Carol was a good person, a good worker and a good friend. We had many laughs together over a 20 year span. May she RIP.

Carol was a good friend for many years as well as a co-worker at Southside Hospital. One thing she always cherished was her family, her children were her greatest treasures, and her husband Joe was her soul mate who always made sure he would be with her everyday day of his life, he was a wonderful husband to her !
