Carmen Anthony Silvio's Obituary
Carmen Anthony Silvio, age 60, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 1, 2020.
Carmen is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sandy; beloved children, Vincent (Kayla) Silvio, Joseph (Leilani) Silvio, and Marielle (Jeff) Debick; cherished mother, Cindy Silvio, and siblings, Ronald (Katie) Silvio, Trina (Terry) Byers, and Albert Silvio; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Albert Silvio, Jr., and brother, Anthony (the late Sheilah) Silvio.
Carmen, who grew up in Wilkinsburg, graduated from Central Catholic High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He, alongside his loving wife, raised their family in Jefferson Hills, volunteering in their children's sports and Boy Scout Troop. He enjoyed his long career as an electrical engineer at Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin and NPTU in Charleston, South Carolina, before retiring in 2019. Carmen had a deep love for music and enjoyed reading in his spare time. He was always happy to share his knowledge and experiences with his family and friends. His big smile and amazing personality will be remembered fondly by all who loved and knew him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020, 6:00 - 8:00 pm & Friday, March 6, 2020, 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Thomas A’ Becket Roman Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10:00 am (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Committal to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Carmen's memory may be made to Jefferson Hills Library at 925 Old Clairton Road.
