TO THE CARL ZUCKER FAMILY. I WORKED WITH CARL FOR MANY MANY YEARS IN LWBR PROJECT AT BETTIS WESTINGHOUSE. WE WERE ALL SINGLE AND ENJOYED THE SINGLE ACTIVITIES THAT BETTIS PROVIDED FOR US. I RETIRED AFTER 45 YEARS IN 2007 AND I WOULD RUN INTO CARL OUT SHOPPING AND WE DISCUSSED THE GOOD OLE DAYS OF THE 1960'S. MAY HE REST IN PEACE. NANCY CASSINELLI WILSON

To the Zucker family with deepest sympathy.
I am very sorry to hear about Carl’s passing. I worked with Carl on the LWBR project at Bettis and shared an office with him from 1967 to 1973. Carl was a great officemate, especially for someone starting his first job. He always had time for questions, was very helpful and provided good advice - often in thought-provoking ways. We became good friends and had a lot of adventures together during my time in the Pittsburgh area. One adventure involved learning how to sail. I don’t remember how this came about, but we decided to buy a small sailboat. After looking at the popular small sailboats of that era, we selected the smallest and least expensive one available. It was made almost entirely of Styrofoam. We purchased it in Cleveland and split the $100 cost. Over the following week we read the first couple of chapters in a book about sailing. It seemed simple so we didn’t expect much of a challenge. The next weekend we took the sailboat to a lake in West Virginia. For most of the day we entertained the visitors at the lake by demonstrating every possible way to capsize a small sailboat. By the end of the day we had successfully completed 2 trips across the lake and back without capsizing. I think we took it out one or two more that year with somewhat better success. Jim Scott
Being married, for over 25 years, to a member of the OHM, it was refreshing to see the bonding of the members that has lasted over 50 years. Enjoy eternity Ed
Rest in peace Uncle. Thanks for all the memories of Easters together, model trains, home movies, motorcycles, native american dolls and many more. Beth (Williams) Bellamah
Carl was a great guy who I knew as a fellow worker at Bertie, a neighbor of South Baldwin and fellow father of Nick and my son Jeff. God bless Carl and may he and my deceased wife Joanie enjoy the peace and joy in heaven until we hopefully join them. Kenneth A. Wincko 8/26/20
