Bridgette Lee Vogel's Obituary
Bridgette Lee Vogel passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 3, 2026, at the age of 55.
Bridgette was born on November 4th, 1970, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Throughout her short life, she endured many health battles but always managed to stay strong and be there for her family and friends. She was kind, loving, selfless, and caring. She was also known for her awesome (and sometimes inappropriate) sense of humor. She always knew how to make people laugh.
She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and, most of all, grandparent. She always made sure those she loved were okay and taken care of. She loved going out and having a good time with family and friends, as well as spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed camping and taking vacations to the beach.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Edward (Pete) Smith; her daughter, Chelsey Smith (Michael Sarsfield); her grandson, Isaac Sarsfield; her granddaughter, Ellie Sarsfield; her mother, Audrey (Flavell) Floss; her stepfather, Gary Floss; her sister, Melissa (Missy) Vogel; her niece, Dominique Rullo; her nephew, Brandon Denk; her niece, Bonny Revo; and many more beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Vogel; her grandmother, Bernice Shorr; her stepdaughter, Angela Smith; and her stepson, Richard Smith.
A viewing will be held on January 7th, from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Jefferson Memorial, with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lupus Foundation in her memory.
May Bridgette's legacy live on through her family and friends, with the wisdom, advice, and countless laughs she shared with those she loved.
