"Bill"'s Obituary
William “Bill” Whittington, age 84, of Bethel Park, formerly of McKeesport, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 20, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Bill was born on November 15, 1939, the son of the late William and Anita (Territ) Whittington.
Bill enjoyed a lifelong career as a carpenter with his career being highlighted by his time building sets for Universal Studios and working maintenance with Rockwell International in the Shuttle Division in Downey, CA, where he and his wife were present for the 1st shuttle take off.
In his free time, Bill enjoyed music and his records, especially favoring the music of the 1950’s including doo wop and the rhythm and blues. Bill was an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports and loved the black and gold through and through, never missing the opportunity to cheer on the Pirates or the Steelers. Most of all, Bill enjoyed the time spent with his family, making memories with them traveling and taking trips to the beach.

Services and burial have been entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in honor of Bill be made to the American Cancer Society.
