Bernadette L. Grese's Obituary
Bernadette (Skotnicki) Grese, age 76, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in Pittsburgh, PA.
Bernadette is survived by her children Stacie (Steve) Rydzak and Blaise (Michelle) Grese; grandchildren Alayna Grese, Alexis Grese, and Shane Rydzak; sibling Mary Parker, Terri Kisan and the late Greg Skotnicki; also survived by many other loving family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. Grese and parents Theodore and Frances Skotnicki.
Bernadette's strong work ethic was evident to all who knew her, as she balanced multiple jobs with grace and determination at her beloved QSA Inc., the Elizabeth Giant Eagle Floral, and her church up until December 2024. Her dedication to her career was matched only by her devotion to her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, over whom she doted with endless affection.
Always the first to lend a helping hand, Bernadette's legacy is one of selfless service and boundless generosity. She had flair for flower arrangements, including her talents in bow design. Her spirit of giving and her unwavering support of those around her will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Bernadette's life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived and a heart always open to others.
Bernadette was a devout soul who dedicated countless hours to serving God and her church, as a Eucharistic minister, lifting spirits in the choir, and bringing joy to many through her involvement in her church festival.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 1:00 - 8:00 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 12:00 noon at St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Eugene worship site, 3210 Liberty Way, McKeesport, PA 15133.
