Ben Banks' Obituary
Ben Banks, age 90, of West Mifflin, Allegheny County, formerly of Yorktown, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family. Our beloved Ben is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jennielee; his son, Benjamin; his brother and sisters, Thelma, Rosie, Shirley, and Stanley; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Ben served honorably in the United States Army and the United States Merchant Marines, and traveled to every continent on Earth except Antarctica. In his later years, he drove long haul tractor trailers, was heavily involved in his church serving as an Elder, and was an avid birdwatcher and computer enthusiast. Visitation will be held Friday, November 9, 1-2 PM, at Bidwell Church, 1025 Liverpool Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15233. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 PM.
