Barry David Budd, Sr., 80, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on April 30, 2025, at his home. Barry graduated from South High School. He worked as a programmer for PNC and then ended his career in banking with Bank of New York Mellon. Read Obituary
I hadn’t seen Barry in years. I’m so sorry to learn of his passing. I worked with Barry at Mellon and he was one of the funniest, nicest men I had ever known. Hold on to each other as you go through this period of mourning. Take care of each other.

Barry was the best neighbor one could ask for. He was kind, giving and loving person. His presence will be truly missed.
A donation had been made in loving memory of Barry to Animal Friends. For the dogs and cats he took care of and loved, he truly made a difference in their lives. His kindness and compassion did not go unnoticed and will be truly missed.
Members of Naval Mobile Battalion Construction Twenty-Three Chief Petty Officer Alumni Association (NMCB 23 CPOAA) extend their deepest sympathies to the family of our departed friend and shipmate. As an outstanding Master Chief Petty Officer, he was influential in developing future leaders of the Pittsburg Detachment of NMCB 23. His mentoring skills, compassion, humor, and dedication were unsurpassed and will be truly missed.
As a memorial to our fallen shipmates the NMCB 23 CPOAA make monetary contributions to the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Fund. These scholarships are awarded to the children, grand-children and other relatives of veterans who served in the Seabees. In keeping with this past practice, we make this contribution in honor of Barry.
