Barbara Joan Parnell's Obituary
Barbara J Parnell, beloved aunt, cherished friend, and fiercely independent spirit, passed away peacefully in her home on June 30 2025, at the age of 89. Her warmth, wisdom, and boundless sense of adventure left a permanent mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Barbara was a woman ahead of her time, living life on her own terms, embracing each new experience with open arms and a courageous heart. Her passion for travel took her to all corners of the world, filling her life with lasting friendships and rich stories to share. Her deep love of family and desire to be near them always drew her back home.
Barbara was devoted to her parents, loved her nieces and nephews and filled their lives of those closest to her with laughter, guidance, and love. As a lifelong teacher, she taught them to be strong, value independence, and seek beauty and meaning in every moment. Her legacy is one of love, courage, and curiosity.
Barbara is survived by her nephew Kevin (Paige) Polick, great nieces and nephew, Kayla (Garrett) Grenek, Megan (Kyle) Schneider, Kiley and Sean Polick, and extended family and friends who will miss her deeply. She is now reunited with her late parents Merrill Rush and Anna Maye Parnell, sister Nancy Polick, nephews Keith and Connor Polick.
