Barbara A. Grice (Kontul)'s Obituary
Barbara (Kontul) Grice passed away August 9, 2016 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jack H. Grice, and her parents, Joseph P. and Anna (Vasil) Kontul of Duquesne. She is survived by six children: Dr. Deborah Conway (Michael), Mary Christine, Judy Hensler (Larry), Jon Grice (Robyn), Dr. Joseph Grice (Suzy), and Dr. Beth Hill. She was the beloved Nana of 11 grandchildren: Brian and Dr. Katie Conway, Sara Wagner, Christian and Jared Hensler, Emily, Joey, and Natalie Grice, and Casey, Benjamin, and Carmen Hill. She is also survived by a brother, Joseph Kontul of Atlanta, GA. She is preceded in death by her siblings Audrey Kontul and Phillip Kontul.There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 12 noon, on Monday, August 15 at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Pittsburgh Pirates Charities, as Barbara was a lifelong Pirates fan.
