ARTHUR F. GARVEY, COLONEL USAF (RET)
Arthur F. Garvey, Colonel USAF (RET) died on October 17,2021.
Born in New York City on Apr 24, 1929, he graduated from Iona College in 1951 before volunteering for the US Air Force later that year. Extremely proud of his military career, he served over 29 years, including flying tours in Korea in 1953 and Vietnam in 1969. His military decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, and Joint Services Commendation Medal. He earned an MS in International Affairs at George Washington University and was a Distinguished Graduate of the Naval War college in 1971. Following Air Force Retirement in 1980, he served as Civilian Chief of the Targeting Division of the USCINPAC Intelligence Staff in Hawaii until retiring again in 1991. He married Natalie Koch Morris of Brentwood in 1988 and resided in Whitehall since 1992.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Natalie, son Michael, and siblings Philip, Henry M., and Jane T. Regan. He is survived by siblings Robert J (Kathy Wicht), Peter, Helen M Garvey and Katherine A Kaplan; Alex J. Morris of Tucson, AZ, and Alexandra Morris of Nashville, TN. In addition he is survived by numerous Kochs who viewed him as the nicest guy in the family.
Services private. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to the Alzheimer's Association. The family would also like to extend thanks to Sheridan at Bethel Park and Three Rivers Hospice for their diligent and kind attention.
