Arlene Randazza Hardy's Obituary
Arlene Randazza Hardy, Age 76, of Pittsburgh began her next adventure on Thursday, August 4th, 2022.
Devoted Mother of Trent Hardy; favorite child Chad (Jeana) Hardy; and Brooke (Jeffrey) Howard. Grandmother of Isabella Caruso; Lauren and Alexandra Howard. Sister of Rose Deverts (deceased). Daughter of Samuel and Vincetta Randazza (deceased). Aunt of Darlene, Thomas, Cynthia, and LeAnn.
Arlene loved spending time with her grandchildren and granddogs, traveling, family Christmas, and above all baking and making people laugh. She was either putting a smile on your face or filling it with her homemade ladylocks. She enjoyed a long career as a legal secretary and while working at the University of Florida in the early 60's, was an advocate for civil rights and equality.
Aside from crediting herself for the beauty of her grandchildren, she would say her greatest accomplishments were baking over 600 dozen cookies for her daughter's wedding and cooking 7 turkeys for a single Thanksgiving.
An informal Celebration of Arlene's life will be held at her park bench on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Allegheny Commons Park (corner of East North and Cedar Avenue, across from AGH), near the Fountain.
Family and friends are welcomed on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 5 to 7 pm & Monday, August 8, 2022 from 1 to 3 pm & 5 to 7 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills.
A Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 10 am in the Funeral Home's Chapel.
