Arden W. Linn's Obituary
Arden W. Linn, a loving and gentle soul, passed away peacefully at his home in Mt. Lebanon, PA, on August 30, 2023. Born on September 9, 1931, in Tod Township, Ohio, Arden was a man of great character, known for his thoughtfulness and kindness.
Arden was the beloved husband of Doris Linn for 36 years. Their love story began at the 88 Lounge, where they both were enjoying a performance by the Country Gentlemen. This chance meeting blossomed into a beautiful partnership that lasted over three decades. Arden was a devoted father to Kathy (the late Joe) Carson, Deborah Wilson, Cheri (Kent) Snow, and the late Marcia Linn. His love for his family was evident in his role as a doting grandfather to Carolyn, Sean (Janice), Alan (Emily), Michelle, Walter, and Michael (Emily), and as a proud great-grandfather of five.
Arden was the cherished brother of Elsie Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Linn, and his brothers, Dwight and Mike. Arden's family was his world, and he always made sure they knew how much he loved and cherished them.
Arden had a fulfilling career and was an active member of his community. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge, where he made lifelong friendships and contributed to numerous charitable causes. Arden was also an avid sports fan, especially of Pittsburgh's teams. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and fishing, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life.
Arden was a man of many passions, but his greatest joy came from his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, whether it was a simple family dinner or making homemade ice-cream. His thoughtful nature and gentle demeanor made him a pillar of strength and comfort for his family.
