Annie Mae Sedore's Obituary
Annie Mae Williamson Sedore, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025 at the age of 103.
Born in Huntsville, Alabama, Annie was raised in Hollywood, Florida. In 1943, she married US Army Air Force Sergeant Michael Sedore in Boca Raton, Florida. After World War II, they settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, ultimately sharing 56 years and five children.
Throughout her life, Annie loved to work. Whether in her role as administrative assistant for Family Counseling Agency in Tucson, Arizona, or later as volunteer at Banner Baywood Hospital, she brought skill, warmth, and dedication that made a lasting difference in the lives of many. In tribute, Banner Baywood honored her with their prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
A woman of deep faith, Annie taught Sunday School, participated actively in Bible study and worship, and found particular joy in gospel music. She was also a passionate reader and writer who passed those loves on to her children.
She was the proud mother of Michael Owen Sedore, Shirley Anne Sedore Faris, David Patrick Sedore, Timothy Stephen Sedore, and Cynthia Susan Sedore Burke. Her family grew to include eight grandchildren: Christopher Matthew Sedore, Eric Scott Sedore, Carrie Alyssa Victoria Hartland, Derreck Brent Andrew Kasper, Damian Leith Michael Powell, Corey Matthew Timothy Jessup, Lindsey Tyler Owen Jessup, and Beau Alexander Hunt Jessup; and twelve great-grandchildren: Matthew Frederick Sedore, Alexander Michael Sedore, Elizabeth Ann Sedore, Caleb Jeremiah Sedore, Abigail Joy Sedore, Rachel Victoria Sedore, Andrew Jay Michael Hartland, Katelyn Mae Jessup, Evelyn Mae Helene Jessup, Dax Oliver Wren Jessup, Ash Gryphon Lee Jessup, Shauna Raelynn Jean Jessup, Beau Xander Dean Jessup.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Virgie Mae Jones Williamson and Rufus Williamson; her brothers, Kenneth Leon Williamson and Rufus Williamson; her husband, Michael Sedore; and her granddaughter, Shauna Tiffany Mae Powell.

Annie's life was a quiet testament to faith, perseverance, and love. She is deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 8th from 10-11 A.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
A Funeral Service will be held following visitation on May 8th at 11 A.M. in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
