Anne Louise Hutchinson's Obituary
Anne (Rodgers) Hutchinson, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 7, 1927, in Butler County, Anne moved to Pleasant Hills, where she made her home for over 50 years, creating countless cherished memories.
Anne was the devoted wife of the late Jesse ("Red") Hutchinson and a proud mother to Jess (Wendy) and the late Richard (Jill). Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Erinn, Andrew (Carly), Allan (Jena), Chris (Rachel), Roxy (Brian), Tim (Erica), and Zachary, as well as her treasured great-grandchildren: Sophia, Lucy, Harper, Charlie, Remington, Charleston, Madeline, Johnathon, Eliza-Ruth, and Teddy.
Anne worked for Martin W. Dowling Real Estate, Siemens and later in life enjoyed working at Kaufmann's, especially during the holidays. A vibrant member of her community and church, Anne was always ready to lend a hand. She was president of the Pleasant Hills Garden Club, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and taught children how to read at Pleasant Hills Presbyterian Church. Anne also dedicated many years as a volunteer at the local election polls.
Anne cherished taking her entire family to the Outer Banks every year, creating many memories that will live on in her children and grandchildren. Her love for travel also led her to take her grandchildren on adventures around the world, fostering bonds and creating lasting experiences.
Anne had a passion for reading, sharing her love of literature with her family, and was often found enjoying Sudoku and crossword puzzles. Her sense of humor brought joy to gatherings, and she was often the heart of family jokes, reminding everyone of the importance of laughter.
Preceded in death by her parents Merle and Mary Rodgers and seven brothers and sisters, Anne leaves behind a rich tapestry of love, woven through her extended family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her big heart and the warmth she brought to everyone around her.
In honoring her memory, we celebrate the laughter, love, and adventures that Anne gifted us all.
