Anna M. Lippert's Obituary
Anna M. Lippert, age 89, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family in the comfort of her own home. Anna was born on December 10, 1934, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Jacob and Alice (Trappen) Schanck.
Anna is survived by her five loving children, Donald (Cindy) Lippert, Ronald (Maryann) Lippert, Philip (Cindy) Lippert, Marie (Denny) Soukup and Patty (John) Rudolchick, as well as 12 beloved grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, whom she adored. Anna also leaves her brothers, Francis Schanck, John “Jack” Schanck, and her sister, Alice Waina.
Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Philip H. Lippert, her brothers, William Schanck and Richard Schanck, and her sister, Agnes Wilson.
Family was the cornerstone of Anna's world. The joy of her life was to watch her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow, cherishing every moment spent with them. A dedicated mother and homemaker, Anna was the embodiment of strength and selflessness.
Anna was revered for her incredible organizational skills and meticulous bookkeeping. Her advice was sought after by many, as she had a unique way of offering guidance that was both insightful and comforting. She had a remarkable way of making sure that everyone felt cared for.
She was an avid card player, bringing laughter and competition to the table in equal measure. Anna was a wonderful cook and her meals brought together family and friends in celebration of both everyday moments and special occasions.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin, 5200 Greenridge Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
