Ann Margaret Escareno's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ann "Peg" Escareno, born on November 15, 1949, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She peacefully went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Peg was a dedicated Nursing Assistant, at Kane Hospital in Scott Township for over 20 years where she provided compassionate care to her patients.
Peg will be lovingly remembered for her tenacious spirit and generous heart. She found happiness in gardening, good food, bingo, and talking on the phone with family and friends. Most of all she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, who brought light and laughter into her life.
She is survived by three loving children: Dawna (Fritz Wherry Jr.) Mozes, Lance (Jamie Reynolds) Cooper, and Kelly (Jeremy) Bennett. Peg took great pride in her role as a grandmother to her cherished grandchildren: Teriann Fife, Nicole Fife, Monica Fife, Leanna Mozes, Gannon Bennett, Lyla Bennett, and Bentley Cooper. Her family was her greatest joy, and she nurtured them with the same care she provided in her professional life.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Escareno, daughter Michele Fife, brother Donald Hupe Jr. and her parents Donald and Florence Hupe.
Visitation will be held at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on May 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on May 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
In this time of mourning, we invite all who knew Peg Escareno to join us in celebrating her life and cherishing her memory. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
