Ann V. Columbus Buechler
Mrs. Buechler, 92, of Eustis, FL, died Sunday at Tampa General Hospital.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Mrs. Buechler attended Brentwood High School and went on to graduate from Stockton College in 1956 with the highest grade point average in her class. She is a lifelong honorary member of California’s honor society, Alpha Gamma Sigma.
Mrs. Buechler was a Supervisor for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Previous to this position, she owned and managed two motels in Daytona Beach, FL, and one motel in Stockton, CA. She held many volunteer positions during her life and was a member of the Bereavement Ministry at St. Mary of the Lakes in Eustis, FL.
Predeceased by her beloved husband and World War II veteran, Russell L. Buechler, Jr., survivors include her two daughters, Nancy Ann Buechler Cormier and Barbara Ann Buechler Hall, and her two grandchildren, Todd D. Cormier and Nereia Ann-Elizabeth Cormier.
Friends and family will be received from 4-8 PM on Thursday at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh PA 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Sylvester's Church in Brentwood. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Park. Condolences may be left at jeffersonmemorial.biz
