Angus "Gus" Miller's Obituary
Angus Miller, aged 76, of Selden, NY, formerly of West Mifflin, PA, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2023, surrounded by family. A proud native of Ayr, Scotland, he was born to Angus and Margaret (McCulloch) Miller. Gus immigrated to Pittsburgh in 1970 and worked for Dravo Corporation. He and his family moved to Long Island in 1991, where he worked for Montenay Power as a Safety Director for many years. Gus enjoyed golfing, American football, Premier League soccer, western TV shows and spending time with his granddaughter. He was also a big fan of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the musical group Celtic Thunder.
Gus is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary, his daughter Heather Williamson (George), his son Angus (Monica Ritter) and granddaughter Hope. He is also survived by his brother Andrew (Susan), his sister Mary Yuille and a large family of cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, sister Marion, brother David and brother-in-law Bill Yuille.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and Thursday, January 26 from 10 am-12 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12 noon following visitation. See below for a zoom link for the service.
