Amy M. Schmidt, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2026, in Homestead, Pennsylvania. Born on March 4, 1978, in California, Amy was the daughter of David and Dolores King.
Amy had a deep love for dolphins and had a special fondness for the color purple. She brought joy to those around her through her delightful baking, particularly her famed cookies, which were a highlight at family gatherings. Her warmth and infectious laughter will be greatly missed at family functions.. She cherished her visits to family in Myrtle Beach, and spending time with loved ones.
Amy is survived by her son, Michael Schmidt, Jr.; her aunt, Linda (John) Wallace; Michael Schmidt, Sr.; brother, Shawn King; as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David King.
Services will be held privately.
