Alma B. Roth's Obituary
Alma B. Roth, age 102, of Bethel Park, formerly of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of family. Born on September 25, 1923, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alma (Allebaugh) Bair.
Alma was the mother of Linda, who passed away on May 11, 2026, (Bill) Mohler, Paul W. (Phyllis) Roth Jr., Joseph A. (Carole) Roth and John E. (Nancy) Roth; Mother-in-law of Barbara Roth; Grandmother of Lori Mohler, Amy (Dave) Lauerhass, Stephanie (Jason) Brazen, Brian (Karen) Roth, Michael (Lizzie) Roth, Jennifer (Colin) Hargraves, Nathan Roth (fiancée, Devon Coffey), and Alaina Roth (fiancé, Andrew Pasquini); and great Grandmother of Liam, Triston, Brenna, Ronan, Rebecca, Christopher, Brett (fiancée, Erin), Audrey, Hazel, Violet, and Ellie.
Alma was preceded in death by her loving husband of 76 years, Paul W. Roth, Sr.; her grandson, David Mohler; and siblings, Joseph Bair and Betty Davies.
Alma lived a life enriched by her family and her faith. She was a devoted charter member of Hamilton Presbyterian Church, where she served as the oldest living member and participated in numerous church activities throughout her life. Her unwavering commitment to her faith was paralleled only by her devotion to her family. Alma was a nurturing and loving mother, her love extending to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, deepening with each new addition to the family.
Alongside her beloved husband, Paul, Sr., Alma worked as a bookkeeper for their family business, Roth Cash Register. In her personal life, Alma had a love for gardening and was known for her vibrant violets. She and her late husband traveled the world together, exploring 132 countries and enjoying 120 cruises. This passion was passed on to their family through annual family cruises that created cherished memories and time of togetherness.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A service in honor of Alma will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hamilton Presbyterian Church in Alma's honor, reflecting her deep commitment to her faith community.
