Alice M. Wenslovas' Obituary
Alice M. Wenslovas (Miles), age 97, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Born on December 9, 1926 in Homestead, Pennsylvania, Alice spent her life cherishing her local community and the friendships she made.
Alice embarked on her career journey as a teller at Mellon Bank and diligently worked her way up to a significant position at the corporate office in Pittsburgh. Her work ethic and dedication to her role were admired by her colleagues and friends alike.
Throughout her life, Alice was an active member of the St. Thomas A'Becket Church in Jefferson Hills, PA, where she sang in the choir and participated in various church activities. Her faith and the community she found in church were central to her life.
Alice's zest for life was evident in her hobbies and social activities. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards. She was a regular participant in card clubs with her lady friends and often traveled on trips organized by the local AARP chapter.
Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank 'Fritz' Wenslovas, and her parents Andrew and Helen Miles. Her love for her family and friends was profound, and she will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and spirited personality.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 11 am - 1 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A blessing service will be held following visitation at 1 pm in the funeral home's chapel.
Alice's life and legacy will be celebrated by all who knew her, leaving lasting memories in the hearts of many.
