Alice M. Marchetti's Obituary
Alice Mae Marchetti, age 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024 surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her own home. She was born on February 22, 1932, to the late William and Marion Young.
Alice is survived by her children William "Billy" M. (Kathi) Marchetti and Lawrence "Larry" D. (Lisa) Marchetti; cherished grandchildren Tiffany, Brittny, Eli, Klorissa, and Mason; beloved great grandchildren Liam, Avery, Paisley, Jaxtyn, Emma, Charlie, Taylor and Cecelia.
She is predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years, Lawrence Marchetti; her parents William and Marion Young; great grandsons Rylin and Bennet; her sister Harriet Young, known affectionately as "Tiny" by Alice; her daughter-in-law Kim; and too many others to list.
Alice created a home filled with joy and comfort first as a stay-at-home mother, then sharing her innate caring nature professionally as a caregiver and nanny in her later years. Her generosity knew no bounds, especially in the kitchen, where she expressed her love by overfeeding friends, family, and anyone fortunate enough to sit at her table.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Saturday July 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
A service will be held in the chapel at the funeral home on Sunday, July 7th at 10am. Burial will be held privately.
