Alfred Joseph LeVasseur's Obituary
Alfred Joseph LeVasseur, 82, of Peters Township, passed away peacefully October 06, 2022.
Alfred is survived by his loving wife, Christine (Sprenger) LeVasseur; children Dasha (Cody) Stallings and Robert LeVasseur; and cherished grandchildren, Albert Robert Dami, IV, and Aaliyah Stallings, a brother Richard D. (Sandi) LeVasseur of Hudson, NH. and beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Alexandra LeVasseur.
Alfred was a man of numerous talents. He often said, borrowing from Christopher Wren, "if you seek my monument look around you" referring to the home that he decorated and embellished from numerous travels around the world. Of equal attention were his gastronomic skills in his kitchen... and it really was HIS KITCHEN. He never addressed himself as a gourmet cook, just a very good cook. This can be documented by the recent distribution of his cookbook, Al's Best... a collection of his favorite recipes for all to enjoy and pass down. And last but not least, his 50 year devotion to the University of Pittsburgh Football Team... GO PITT!
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Burial will be Jefferson Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made in Alfred's name to a charity of your choice.
