Alfred M. "Al"
Age 85, of Pleasant Hills, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016. Father of Robert (Charlene), Dale (Lisa) and David Eyrolles; grandfather of Emily (Jason) Sobeck, Kristen (Rich) Ohlson, and Kraig, Heather, and the late Jason Eyrolles; great-grandfather of Levi Sobeck and Adam Kulp-Eyrolles; brother of Jean (Dolores) Eyrolles Jr.; son of the late Virginia and Jean Eyrolles, Sr.; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Al graduated from Baldwin High School in 1949, excelled in football and baseball, and enjoyed gardening and watching sports. He was a Steelers and Pirates fan, and loved dancing the polkas with his 30 yr. companion Gerry Impiccini, who proceeded him in death. Al served as Corporal in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, was a member of Elks #11, the American Legion Post 712, a Union member brick layer for Local #2 for 50 years, a Past President PWP 278 South Hills, and was employed until retirement with the Allegheny County Maintenance Department for 30 years, and a devoted member of the Pleasant Hills Presbyterian Church. Al was a kind hearted and loving family man. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 12, from 2 - 8 PM at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, Feb. 13th, at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park. Donations may be made to Animal Friends (562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA, 15237) or Jefferson Hospital Palliative Care (565 Coal Valley Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15025).
