Alelaide "Dolly" Burens Doyle's Obituary
Born in McKeesport with twin, Elizabeth "Betty" Cooley to parents, Bessie and Alfred Burens. Sister to brother, Alfred. Married to Brice Doyle in 1948 for over 50 years. Survived by nieces/nephews from Cooley family - Gloria (Michael) Blicha, Leslie, Claudia, Warren (Janet) and by niece, Laura Burens and by her "little dog", Rollo (a Morkie).
Life-long resident of Clairton/Wilson. Worked for USS-Clairton Works for 38 years: active in the Union thru-out. Worked/volunterred at the voting polls, her church, Meals-On-Wheels and AARP. In several groups - Red Hats Society, Walking, Card-playing, Loyal Daughters.
Dolly was short in stature, being at most 4'11", and very fashionable. She was known for saying she was "busy, very busy" and "whatever".
Dolly survived a serious bout with Ovarian Cancer in 2013 but did not survive its return in the fall of 2016.
No Visitation. Memorial Service on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Jefferson MEmorial Funeral Home Chapel, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pgh., PA 15236. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AHN, West Penn In-Patient Hospice - WHO MADE DOLLY'S FINAL DAYS AND NIGHTS COMFORTABLE or her church, Wilson Presbyterian, 400 North Fourth Street, Clairton, PA 15025.
