Albert "Bud" Herrod, Sr.'s Obituary
Albert “Bud” Herrod, Sr., age 72, of Baldwin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2024, surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Bud was born on November 1, 1951, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late William and Lois (Morris) Herrod.
Bud proudly was a member in the United States Air Force Reserves from 1970 – 1975. He was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather and great-grandfather who cherished the time spent with his family. Bud was a passionate coach, never missing a game for his children and grandchildren. He was an avid fan of all sports, especially rooting on the Pittsburgh sports teams and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Bud was the devoted father of Lisa (Kevin Sweeney) Martin and Albert “Bud” (Jenn) Herrod, Jr.; the loving grandfather of Aaron (Amanda) Herrod and Amanda Rae Herrod; and the great grandfather of Lilleigh Kostelnik and Audrina Herrod. Bud also leaves his brother, Wayne (Daria) Herrod; his niece, Meghan (Greg) Adams; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services and burial have been entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Bud may be made to the AHN Cancer Program.
