Albert D. Sil, 90, of West Mifflin, passed away on January 24, 2017. He was born in Balangoda, Sri Lanka on April 7, 1926, to Peter and Celestina Silva. Albert is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Jeanette Bridges Sil. Albert is survived by his two Sons, Greg Sil and James Sil; grandchildren Jocelyn, Leah, Alissa, Michael, Savannah, Sophia and Santino "Sonny". He was preceded in death by his Father, Peter Silva; Mother, Celestina Silva.
Albert was a member of The Knights of Columbus. Albert held a Master's degree in Theology, Mathematics and Philosophy. He loved math, carpentry and was fluent in seven different languages. Albert was a friend to all, would always stop to help a stranger, and above all he loved his church.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday 10 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2603 Old Elizabeth Road, West Mifflin Pa 15122. Condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
