Alan R. Perun's Obituary
Alan R. Perun, age 78, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 5, 2025. Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, on April 29, 1947, Alan was a dedicated husband, brother, and friend, whose warm spirit and engaging personality touched the lives of many.Alan graduated from West Mifflin North High School in 1965. He honorably served in the Army National Guard, completing his service in June 1976. A skilled machinist, he began his career at U.S. Steel Homestead Works and continued to contribute his talents at Petersen Machine Shop in Clairton for over two decades.Alan will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Diane, with whom he would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary next week. He is also survived by his brother, Robert A. Perun (Jane Ann Vittone); sisters-in-law, Peggy Kremer (the late Robert) and Penny Modrick (Carl); along with numerous nieces, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Perun.
Known affectionately as "Mr. Wonderful," Alan's zest for life was evident in all he pursued. He enjoyed a passion for antique cars, particularly his cherished 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, and delighted in attending car cruises with family. He also had a love for boxing, motorcycle riding, and flying planes, embodying a spirit of adventure and enthusiasm that inspired those around him.As a devoted Catholic, Alan was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Parish before its closing and was currently a parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. His faith was a cornerstone of his life and guided his actions towards his family and community.Funeral Services will be private per Alan's request.
