Aida was the matriarch of the family. She began raising her three siblings from the age of five and was a young widow. She had a hard life, but a good one nonetheless. She was as smart as a whip, strong as an ox and stubborn as hell. She did not bake cookies or cook with her family , but she passed on her love of travel and music and taught every nursery rhyme and tongue twister under the son. She was a crossword puzzle master for as long as she could hold a pen and was also the purest embodiment of "shop till you drop."
Above all, she was a beautiful, talented and graceful dancer until her legs no longer supported the pursuit of her passion. When she was young, she danced with the USO and competitively with her beloved husband.
Aida lived and died by the color purple. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Services will be private.
