Edward "Mike" Holowka's Obituary
Edward Michael "Mike" Holowka, 77, of Orlando, FL, passed away on March 4, 2026. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Edward and Camella Holowka.
Mike worked alongside his father and family in their family business for most of his life. He had many different jobs such as grounds keeping, maintenance and managing the business. He would spend his entire day there.
Mike loved parties and hanging out with his niece, nephew and their families and loved to call his friends to get the latest scoop and check in. He enjoyed watching Wrestling, Westerns and Comedies- like the 3 Stooges- listening to music and loved when it was live music. He also loved pasta, ice cream, shakes, Coca-Cola and M&Ms!
Mike was very dedicated and hardworking at the family business. He was a true Pittsburgher and loved his house in Baldwin Boro, his neighbors and friends, the Steelers and the Penguins. After leaving his childhood home, he resided in Brookdale Senior Living in Pittsburgh before moving to Orlando, Florida to be near his sister. Although Mike loved being a "grump", he seemed to really enjoy most of his days. He lived very much in the present and the future, never looking back. No regrets and no stress!
Mike is survived by his loving sister Marta (Robert) DiMarcantonio; his cherished nephew Joshua (Savannah) DiMarcantonio and niece Gina (Michael) Houston; and his beloved great nephews Cooper and Archer Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Camella Holowka.
Services for Mike were private and entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
